I'm Dave from Western MA. Been shooting photos since about 1952. I'm now 79 and still clicking. I traveled the American West and got great photos from 8 of our big national parks. Been to China, Caribbean, Hawaii and all around US. Love to get those photos.
Going to poke around in the new mirrorless cameras. Just don't want to have to replace all of my lenses.

With an adapter, Nikon's mirrorless bodies will get excellent images from your older Nikon lenses, but the lenses made for mirrorless bodies are better designed for mirrorless bodies. If you are going to make the jump to mirrorless bodies, figure in the lenses made for those bodies, or you will be short-changing yourself.

Welcome to UHH Dave, glad you joined us. You don't mention the brand of camera you are using but Nikon has an adapter that lets you use your existing Nikkor glass.
Have fun, learn and enjoy the forum.

Using a Nikon D-7000. Excellent camera. Don't know why I'm thinking of a Nikon Z. Started my serious shooting with a Pentax K1000. Did a lot of great photography with that old camera. The only thing auto on that was the light meter.

I started with a D7000 and then went to a D750. It's a great camera!! I still use it in conjunction with the D810 I purchased last year. I have no plans to go to mirrorless. I think between the 3 cameras I'm pretty well covered for quite a while.

I held off from moving to mirrorless for quite a while, and then bit the bullet and bought an inexpensive Nikon Z50 to test the waters. Have say I'm happy I did. My D3S and D800E haven't gotten much use recently.
