Very well done. I started working with ACR a year ago when I got my Nikon and have got to the point where I don't bother recording jpeg on my camera any more. Pretty amazing what you can create from the right capture as you have demonstrated above. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you, Picdude. Same here, I haven't photographed anything in jpg format since Feb. of 2010. Photos that people think are HDR are simply exposed correctly, not as in this case, and post processed in ACR and PS CS6.

Adobe Camera Raw. It allows the modification of the RAW files from a camera. Though limited in what it can do, such as no layers, it's editing capabilities are quite powerful.

Thanks, Don. RAW makes quite a difference. I'm glad you've started using that approach.

Pretty photo, makes me want to make sure there's no creepy crawlers around my feet, but why post in HDR forum? Makes no sense.

Adobe Camera Raw, or ACR, is Adobe's raw file developer, and is the editing engine in Lightroom. All the controls in ACR and Lightroom are the same. For those like me, who don't use Lightroom, but use Bridge, ACR and Photoshop, ACR is the first stop with a raw file.

Nicely done. Lately I've been intentionally underexposing my shots a 1/2 or so and bringing out the detail in post. Your shot shows why. Even though some of the sky was blown out you turned a very dark image into a winner. I've been shooting in RAW since I got my DSLR.

edit - So I went back through and realized I already commented on this shot. Sigh ... age or that second beer is catching up with me. No matter, at least I 'm consistent in which shots I think deserve comment and which I choose to ignore.
