Very nice car and kitty. Our Peaches looked a lot like Julius; she died a year and a half ago after 19 1/2 years. When we bought our first Mazda, a '91 Protege I really wanted a Miata. Unfortunately, I don't fit (nor does my 6' wife). We donated the Protege after just over 250,000 fun miles. When we bought our 2006 Mazda 3, same story - I still didn't fit the Miata. The 3 is still going strong at 178,000 miles and is still on the original clutch and brake pads.
Zoom, Zoom!
Thank you. I’m sorry for your loss. I know how attached we can become to our little friends. Julius is the first companion we’ve had in several years. Our last kitty, Warfy, lived to the ripe old age of 18 before stomach cancer took him.
When I was in the market for a new car I looked at several small convertible roadsters. I was too cramped in the Honda S2000, the BMW and several others were just way overpriced and the Miata, although small, had plenty of room for my 6ft 1” 200 lbs body. Plus with the light GVW (its around 2200 lbs) and the turbocharged engine, that little car is quick as hell.
