Regardless of which camera you like the AF of these new cameras is absolutely amazing.
The "I can focus better manually" crowd are full of it.
This video puts the debate to rest and proves there is no way to track an focus as these 2 cameras can.
I was blown away, and if the Z9 is close all 3 makers fans who are into fast action and want to actually get the shot in focus there is nothing and especially manual focus crowd that can come anywhere near as good as these are.

For the price of either, they better focus this good. Fortunately for me rocks usually move very slow so I can manually focus pretty well.

Like most questions, it all depends. If my target is a bird sitting at the end of a twig autofocus works faster and is more accurate than manual focus. It the bird is sitting back in the tree with intervening leaves and things, manual is the only way for me to get a shot focused on the bird's eye.

Guess you NEVER used these cameras.
They have eye focus for birds that is superior to manual.

Faster I accept, superior probably not. Focus is focus regardless how it is obtained. What cameras are those? I can't afford to buy one but I may rent one just to see how they work.

OK I surrender on everything except in cluttered foregrounds where you just can't get reliable auto focus lock on the subject.
