I am currently in Orlando and looking for wildlife, preferably bald eagles. Any suggestions for sightings? Best spots for photogaphy?

Merritt Island NW Refuge over on the East Coast near Titusville?
Take 50 east to US-1 & go north a bit.
Or 46 east to Mims and go south on US-1.

Lake Apopka Wildlife Drive in Apopka (a one-way route).

Go to Orlando Wetlands Park in Christmas. A few minutes off of Hiway 50. Nice walks and lots of birding opportunities. About half an hour before Merritt Island.

Greetings! I’ll have to check that out! My last two trips to the Wetlands yielded a couple Eagles both times.

Try the Circle B Bar preserve in Lakeland, a short drive from Orlando. You won't be disappointed.

Hi Cony25
Friends did an airboat ride with "Airboat rides at Midway" last week they said there were lots of eagles.
Unfortunately this is one time he didn't take his camera!
I would also suggest Lake Apopka wildlife drive and my favorite place Circle B reserve.

Depending where you live in Orlando, you may also head west on I-4 to the east side of Lakeland to the Circle B Bar Reserve. https://polknature.com/explore/circle-b-bar-reserve The Bald Eagles are favorites of photographers, maps & other photographers as well as staff will guide you on where to go. Also plan on seeing all sorts of wildlife

Merritt Island National Wildlife Preserve. If you are there at the right time and place you will find lots of birds, hogs alligators and maybe more.

You're not far from Vierra Wetlands. I've gotten a few good eagle shots there.

Wow, thank you !! I went to lake Apopka yesterday, saw tons of birds but no eagles :(.
More than 300 bird species live there, quite impressive.

Impressive indeed. The eagles we have seen there (last April) were in the stands of trees as you leave the levees and head towards the exit.
