Hi Folks:
I am a budding photo enthusiast. Just bought a new R6 & now I am beginning to learn the incredible number of features on this camera. Primary interest is landscapes, wildlife & astrography.
I want to learn as much as I can from members of this site. Please share tips, techniques & money saving tips as I grow my collection of lenses & filters.
Lenses: Canon RF 24 - 240
Canon USM 100 - 400 4.5 - 5.6
Canon EFS 10 - 22 3.5 - 4.5
Canon EF to RF adapter with Control ring (wish I had @ least one more)

What I want most:
1. A sturdy & lightweight tripod suitable for astrography. Recommend please.

Thanks

I got the R6 a coule months ago. I love it. low light performance is incredible. There is significant vingnet on my 24-240 at 240, but it's easily fixed in post processing. How does the EFS 10-22 work with the adapter? I know it will fit, but have read that the image is cropped by the camera to about 8 mega pixel since the lens cant fill the full frame sensor.

My wish list is the sigma 12-14, reported to be the widest rectilinear lens availabe for full frame. Or maybe the RF16 if it ever becomes in stock again.

Although your EF-S 10-22 is a wonderful lens, the crop factor when used on the R6 is a waste of the lens and the 20MP full frame R6 sensor. Put this lens up for sale and buy a used 17-40L that is the same lens in image quality and a full-frame model, and picks up the IBIS of the camera.

Check out a Feisol Tournament CT-3442 Carbon Tripod. Sturdy, very light, about $450.
