My wife and I recently visited the New Braunfels, Texas area. Our main purpose for being there was our Son and new Daughter-in-law's wedding. It was a beautiful outdoor wedding along the banks of the Guadalupe River. We stayed in a small cabin right on the Guadalupe River for a week. This gave me ample opportunity to get some great photos.

Details on the "Wedding Venue" picture (last one). I could not get this scene in a 5 shot stitch as I could not stand far enough back to get the tree tops and mountain fully in view. So with out ever trying this before, I set out to do a 2 high by 5 wide stitch. Maybe there are programs that can do this effortlessly, but the one i have (Hugin) presented many challenges (at least for me). Many attempts in, having disconnected lines (i.e. - railings, etc.) I chose the best stitch and then created a GIMP file and set about replacing the "disjointed" sections. Trees were also a challenge with many limbs and leaves just kind of "disjointed". After much processing, I'm pleased with the final result. My final work is to put this photo in a Shadow Box with LED lights as a gift to our Son and his Wife.

Hope you enjoy!

This is actually 3 shots stitched together. First time I have used Hugin for stitching photos. Took some trial and error, but I think I got it right in the end.

Interesting rock formations in the river bed. I've never seen water that always has a greenish tint like the Guadalupe does. At least in this area.

What a lovely scene to be married. Congratulations to the bride and groom. The river is so inviting. Before and after the wedding I would have been dropping a line there to see what might bite.

Great photos by the way.
