Hello, my first post here.
Hi all, I have been reading the Ugly Hedgehog for a few years and have now finally registered. I got into photography as a child in the late 60’s. Then in 1970 we moved to Rochester NY for a couple of years while are farther attended RIT. By this point my mother was into photography as well, and we had dark room with an enlarger, B/W only.
I have been shooting Nikon DSLR cameras for nearly 15 years now. I started with a D40x, then added a D3200 later, both are gone now, but a friends is still using that D40x. I now have a D600 and a D300s. I’m planning on getting a D800 soon.
I just bought a Sigma 12-24mm 1:4.5-5.6 II DG HMS lens. This lens will not auto focus on my D600, thought it will give focus conformation manually focusing. However, this same lens will auto focus on my D300s. Both camera bodies have the most recent firmware updates for both the camera and lens data. Would anyone have any ideas as to why this lens will not auto focus on my D600?
Welcome. Post and have fun.

I am in NW Oregon, just west of Portland. I did a few photo trips up to Mount Hood this past summer.
