Good morning from a grey Surrey but the sun is trying to come through. Nearly finished knitting a top. Had the girls here yesterday, lots of giggles and cake. Off to WI meeting tonight.

Happy Wednesday everyone and stay safe xxx

Sounds like a good day.

Any possibility that you will find out the time before Friday.

Morning. We cannot hear the front door bell when we are in the office. So when expecting a delivery I move my computer to the living room. Need to get a louder bell or have people knock on the door. Hm. Just gave myself an idea. If there were no bell they would have to knock, right?

Can you get one of those video doorbells. They will send video to your computer or laptop. I was considering that before I started working from home. Now I can see the front door while I'm at my desk.

Alas, I feel guilty if I do not do my diary list. I do have the fans and lights to do today. I redid the pantry yesterday which was today's chore. I used the step to reach the top shelf and did not want to have to use it for another chore. Sometimes it makes me dizzy if I go up and down too much.

DD did not use the stepladder to reach for some spices on the top shelves and fell off the stool and broke a toe. It was one of the middle toes, so now it is taped to the next toe.
Is that dizziness usual for you?

Good morning all from a currently overcast and grey London! 14'C here at the moment.

Getting ready for the day in relays this morning as I am waiting for a parcel to be delivered and I haven't got the door-bell up and running yet and we didn't hear the nice new knocker on Monday

Later, we are off to see James Bond in action, looking forward to that!!

Have a good one every body, stay safe and well!! xxxxxxxxxx

I hope that film is good. I've heard it is not as action-oriented as usual for a Bond film. It is also longer.

Good morning all from what might be a sunny Norfolk, a bit early to tell yet. Not a lot planned but might get my little case out and get it packed for my trip to Manchester tomorrow, apart from that just knitting. Have a good day. xx

Have a safe trip.

I have a fever now too, my ears are infected again. I swear the slightest little thing and my ears bother me. I take after my dad, he is like this too.

Everything lands in my ears too. Apparently the tubes from my ears are too "flat". I was told that getting tubes put in would help, but I don't want to do that.

Well baby girl hit her rock bottom for the week and it's only Tuesday.

Daycare is done, no more, bye bye.. here's what scared me. . She went to pick up all their belongings from this horrible place and they said " we looked everywhere and can't find Marcellina" 😳😳😳🤔 WHAT!!!
She said that's because she's not here because y'all told me you can't handle her.. So she's RIGHT HERE BESIDE me... what kind of... 🤬 Oops sorry ugh.

Then... Yup folks there is more.
She works in a kitchen in a really nice restaurant.. they told her they don't care about the pink eye or the flu, that is she didn't come into work today she's fired.
Sooooooo, she lost her job.
I told her to look up because it might be uphill from here but it's up. Bless her heart.. today's TMI . Lina crawled into bed with her early this morning and was laying on her and they are all so sick right, she had diarrhea all over Jen...
My poor girl is not having a good month.

Kitchens of restaurants are like that. DD can tell you horror stories from when she worked in one. Basically, if you are still alive, they want you in the kitchen. It doesn't seem to matter if you will contaminate everything.
I hope this is the bottom and everything will start heading up.
<Hugs> to you and your family.

I was going to winterize the front flower bed, but there are just too many blooms left so I just weeded. This shows the front porch too and my supervisor.

We're going to put vertical blinds in all the windows at some point. The ones that are here now don't work properly except the one vertical that was installed at some point by the previous owner. I quite like it, so that's the kind we're going to go with for the rest of the house. xxxooo

We have vertical blinds on the windows that face northwest. We've replaced both once while we've been here. They don't make them like they used to. The current mechanism is mostly plastic. We have horizontal blinds on all the other windows. Mostly vinyl. We had metal horizontal blinds originally, but they were too costly to replace on every window. We've already replaced most of them twice. (Again, they don't make them like they used to.)
In my room with the 3 south facing windows, I have black out curtains over the window blinds. I have a lot of control over how much light enters my bedroom.

Those will be great, Jeanette. We have a northeastern morning exposure, so not too bad, but as the sun swings around to the south and west, where the back patio is, it definitely heats up the house. Might have to invest in some of those shades for the back side of our house. xxxooo

We have a horizontal awning that cranks out. It covers the entire back door and allows us to keep the door open and keep the light out too.

Like this, but our stripes are pink.

It was about 2 hours 45 minutes. I found it a bit too long and too noisy but would give it 6/10. The credits at the end go on forever and ever, if they had a reunion party at some time, I think they'd have to hire a football stadium!!!

It’s not so much for privacy, but for sun shade, but we’re having this installed today. We won’t use it much during the winter, but couldn’t beat the end of year pricing. We face the East and love watching the sunrise from our front porch, but by 9:00 a.m., the sun is right in our sight line. With this , we can be out there anytime.

Nice looking.

You remind me of when my kitchen rod snapped and I had new rods to put up. John glued them on and next day they were down,,,so he used different glue and next day they were down, so….S came down with gorilla glue and they’ve never moved since…..I darent move the net curtain in case it falls again. I know how you feel about nets. Albert needed the front door netted and I agree with him. I’ve net on front door and kitchen….up the nets!,,,

We have nets on the front windows under the porch. Wouldn't want anyone coming up on the porch looking in.
We actually have metal horizontal blinds on those windows, the net curtains and a valance at the top. They are very well dressed.
