Just a shout out to Leofoto for making such a darn nice ballhead at a darn nice price point… Also to Gene and a few others for pointing out the value of this brand. This thing is built like a tank and is prob. A little overkill for me but for what you are getting, its a great dollar value. All controls are smooth and lock down tight. Large knobs are nice and it can accommodate anything I will ever put on it. Yes, I know there are other VERY good ones out there, but this is priced so well… It pays to follow up on things folks in the know mention on this site… Fotopro tripod it sits on was recommended by Dr. Nikon BTW…. Anyhow, I am a happy camper.
Looks beautiful. My only problem with it is that it's made in communist China.

Just about everything is made in China Today. China has become a nominaly communist state run by capitalist dictators.
My preference is not to support them when it's possible to purchase equivalent products that are made elsewhere.

I have recommended Leofoto in the past. I have been using their long lens head and the build is very good.

I guess you don't like Apple products then.

Sorry if I offended anyone re: where the product is made... I just like a good value, which I think it is... Maybe a little show and tell but it is at such a good price point.

Nope. I use the Korean alternative.

You have nothing to apologize for! That one commenter should look at the bottom of his coffee cup and any plates, saucers, etc. in his house. 99% chance they all say "Made in China." A lot of people get hung up on stupid stuff and don't realize very little of everyday items are manfactured in the US these days. Besides, I like the Leofoto ball head too!
Looks like a rugged beauty. Enjoy.
I recently got good advice on UHH from Gene 51 and imagemeister about what is important in a ballhead. Armed with their advice I bought the big Feisol CB-60. I too am a happy camper with this one.
I like and own Leofoto gear also. Thanks to recommendations from here on Ugly I tried them and they are as advertised and well priced too. Half of my photo gear was manufactured in China but what isn’t anymore?

Yes, there are some really knowledgeable folks around here and I always have my ears open...

There’s no longer any such thing as communist China and really hasn’t been for over 30 years. It’s still a dictatorship but they’re as capitalist as it comes.
I’m with you not purchasing anything coming from China if at all possible.
