This might sound like a stupid question cause it is. I was experimenting shot raw with my new d850. I have switched back to jpeg again. I want shot some her shots but that line in grayed out in the menu selection. I must have something else changed. I could keep trying things to figure it out or I ask here. Help.

I wish the fourth sentence made more sense.

I'm not really seeing what your problem is here. Can you elaborate a little? Like grayed out in what menu of what program? Are the raw images grayed out or are all images grayed out?

Read the manual. Either you are using a crop format lens on a full frame body or you has set the image size to crop.

Sorry, but I don't understand "I want shot some her shots". Can't figure out which line on which menu. Can you explain a little for us?

When it comes to poetry we often wonder "what does the poet mean?" . . .

Agree completely. Whatever you meant. Keep calm and carry on. Be sure to click “store original” when you post them. If you have any questions feel free to ask. The answer is always that you ought to get the David Busch book. Then you can all be on the same page.

You need to wake up before writing. Your sentences 4 and 5 make little sense.

Perhaps English is a second language for this person.

In my shooting menu HDR is grayed out. When I try to select it I get a message says it is not available at the current camera settings. I think have a something else selected that preventing an HDR option.

Awkward English would appear distinctly different than just outright carelessness. No reason to conjure up any excuses for those too lazy to proof before sending.

Don't know what camera you have, but with one of mine, D750, you cannot use HDR with RAW, flash lighting bracketing, multiple exposure, time lapse, etc. Simply switching from JPEG to RAW grays out HDR.
