The Z9 is coming. If I had any justification at all, and I could justify the cost, I'd buy one. Unfortunately, I have no need for the world's greatest camera.
Okay, you can start arguing now.
From preliminary reviews, it does look like a great camera.
Please let us know why you think it's the greatest.

I'm not a new camera bug, my old ones do just fine!

There is no "greatest camera". All major camera systems today can make great photographic art. It is the user. They offer different tools to a varied pool of photographers and it is they who drive the bus.
It'll be a great camera as are many other Nikons and other brands. If you want one and can afford it, get it.
Even though I shoot digital with several Nikons and a Leica M240, I also still use my Canon F1, Nikon F4S and Leica IIIf and if I do my part all my pictures meet my requirements and expectations. No, I don't print my film anymore, I digitize the negatives for convenience and I'm happy with the results. No need to move on to the "Latest and Greatest" cameras anymore, GAS is a thing of the past for me (except for certain foods).

I need my passion ignited.

Yes! And that's what I need.

I thought using that terminology would generate some "discussion."
Actually, one of the YouTube people did say that he thought it would be the best camera when it is released. There is no such thing as "the best," though. It's all a matter of personal preference.

Well, it's mirrorless and that's a start.

I'm perfectly happy with my D200, 86'000 clicks with no problems and I don't care if it's got a mirror or not, it's the picture that counts and I see nothing wrong with them so far!
Dick-don't need the latest-C
The success is not something that happens while waiting for your DSLR to fail. No, you create the future by filling your online shopping cart with mirrorless camera equipment.
Would never be in my shopping cart. I want my camera to look like a camera, not like a box with a lens glued on.
