Check out this You Tube for the answer. It's a long video of 30 minutes but just look at the beginning, the middle and the end of the video. You will not believe your eyes! Almost unbelievable!

30 minutes? I think I'll pass but thanks.
Given the same situation a Canon might perform just as well but I would have lost money betting against that camera ever working again. Pretty impressive.

A statistical anomaly… 😳😵💫🥴🤓
It just goes to show that if you have the patience anything can be restored to working order and keeping it out of the landfill a few more years. I doubt that I could have put it back together and have it work.
Nice and entertaining, but I don't believe it.
Couldn't find information on which new parts were needed, etc. All pieces found and none broken? not even plastics?
Another Canon vs Nikon posting. Ho hum, sooooo boring. I won't waste my time watching the video. As an owner of both Canon and Nikon gear, I know for a fact Canon is really no better than Nikon and Nikon is really no better than Canon, they are just different, and as far as probably 98% of users as concerned, do the exact same thing and they both do it quite well. In my most humble opinion, the Canon cameras I own, which include a 10D thru 90D, 5DSr, 5D mk IV, 6D and 7D mk II, are easier to operate than my Nikons which include a D7200, D500 and D850.
As I said, I have not seen the video but based on the responses, the camera in question was mistreated and damaged beyond what most would consider repairable, and through the magic of video, was restored to working condition. Of course through the magic of video, people have already landed and are establishing a colony on Mars.
Bottom line; if you like Nikon, buy Nikon. If you like Canon, buy Canon. But don't go telling the folks with Canon how much better Nikon is and vice versa, because in reality it's simply not the case.

The title has nothing indicating it is not to be taken seriously and based on my experience as a UHH member for several years now, there is a very strong Canon vs Nikon attitude. For some strange reason, there are people who actually believe they are better than some because of the gear they own and there are lots of folks who are very brand specific and even fanboys. I own Canon, Nikon and Sony cameras and am not a fanboy of any, although I do prefer Canon ergonomics to Nikon and Sony. My everyday shooter is my D850 and my go to crop camera is my 90D. As for cooling my jets, maybe you should consider lowering the temperature of your jets as well.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PfByZJ5RTh4That whole thing is staged. I mean the guy has someone following him to video everything he does and he just happens to find a camera in pieces, buried in mud. And the pieces all still work when reassembled!!!!!!!! No, I didn't watch it all, fast forward through the first few minutes to the point where he "finds" the first parts buried in mud. Nada mas.
Pardon me while I go out in the back yard to ask that Leprechaun for a pot of gold and to pick up the poop from the Unicorn he is riding.

I'd be happy if I could get someone else to pick up my two Coton de Tulear's poop.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PfByZJ5RTh4BS using a couple of $10 cameras. This is the kind of YouTube crap my grandkids watch. That said thanks for posting anyway.
I have several friends who have Canon Camera's. I use Nikon. We are constantly kidding each other about which MFG is the Best. I always tell them, "If you want to copy something buy a Canon, If you want to Photograph something, buy a Niknon". :-)
