My Weekend Retreat.
All elements of this composite are mine except for the kayak.
Just a little place to spend some quiet time, Frank! Good work.

Thanks Mike. Yup my get away house.
I knew when I was walking the area I wanted to compose something like this. And I knew I wanted to use that house.
What a beautiful composite Frank. You made it look like a focus stacked image.

Thanks Jack, focus stacking never entered my mind. When I finished it, I thought it needed a little something more. That is when I came up with the idea of adding the kayak.
Thanks for stopping by and commenting, much appreciated.
Nice pad you have there Frank, you must invite us all over some time! Before we paddle up to the entrance though, could you straighten-up the bridge arrangement just a little. I can see why it tips left - to match the slight incline beyond - but those stone pillars deserve the perpendicular. You find some interesting elements and they certainly work very nicely together. Is the house privately owned or open to the public?
I missed the bridge's slight tilt. Now that you pointed it out it is screaming at me. As. I previously mentioned as I walked the site I knew I wanted to do this composite. Since I already had the house in my library. The house is now a museum and it is open to the public. I try and find these old Victorians and add them to my library.
As for an invite all are welcome to my weekend get away. Water transportation is up to anyone who wants to stop by.😄

Love your retreat. Just a suggestion. You should put a roof on that bridge.

Thanks, glad you liked it. I will give the roof a try, but I feel it may distract by closing everything up as you go towards the house.

Thanks Joe, It was fun doing this composite.
The house is beautifully framed and the overall composite is very well executed! Well done. There is a lot of story potential in this one.

Thanks Carol, as I walked this area many times I knew what kind of composite I would be creating. The house is now a museum.
