Critiques, please. I struggled with the PP on this, and ending up sliding the saturation all the way down. It still seems over-saturated to me. Also played with the contrast wanting to burn some on the shadows. I thought about creating an over, under exposure set and running it through Photomatix-- but opted not to

Nikon D300 with 16-85 set @ 25 mm, ISO 200, f/16 @ 1.3 sec.

I like it the yellows here this year are really bright. Very nice capture. If you wanted to back off the yellow in LR you could use the HSL sliders and turn down the yellow a bit

That's a great photo. I like it. Now, I'm a film guy, older cameras & all that, so perhaps my comments won't apply, but... I noticed that there is sunlight here, that the film speed is ASA200, at f/16, & the shutter speed is 1.3 seconds. For a 'normal' scene, average sunlit scene, the shutter would be 1/200 sec. There's sunlight in this photo, so it must not have been all that dark. In full shade, the shutter speed should've been closer to 1/25 sec. Maybe I'm barking up the wrong tree, but wouldn't 1.3 seconds be too long? & if so, would that explain the over sturation you talk about? Just thinking.

Hmmm. I went back and checked the photo data to see if I had read something wrong-- and that's what it reads. The photo was taken in October in Silver Falls State Park. As I recall, this location is in deep shade. The reflected colors are from overhead leaves. I'll have to think about this some more. I don't own any ND filters so I know that isn't it. Thanks for commenting.
