This challenge showcases lighting from behind the subject. The subject may become a silhouette, or almost transparent or rimmed with light. It's one of my favorite effects and I'm looking forward to your posts.

Very nice start, Pat. I don’t do enough of those, but every once in a while something catches my eye and I just have to shoot it.
Back in February this year I was in Jackson Hole, WY. with my brother-in-law staying at the Wort Hotel. Yeah I know it’s little more blue blood than I usually allow, but it was part of the package we signed up for. Besides the kids are moderately successful so why don’t I spend itπŸŒβ—οΈ
Anyway they have a bar in the hotel called the Silver Dollar Bar. Story is Mr. Wort picked them all up himself at the Denver mint when they rebuilt after a fire in the 1930s. That last morning there with time to kill before catching a ride to the AP to fly home we sauntered through it on our way to breakfast and I caught this view with my phone.

I think Mike is countingπŸ˜‰

This is the newest of two bars built this way, and they are real silver dollars
