I have a meeting today with the boss. Virtual, of course. This meeting will discuss my workload. Mondays are busy, but most afternoons I've finished my work by noon. Hopefully I don't get assigned to a bunch of projects.
Everyone have a good day.
And stay safe.

We had two chickens when I was a kid, I suppose we got some eggs from them but my strongest memory is of my mum cooking up their food in a big saucepan! Phew, the smell was dreadful but of course, my mum had no sense of smell, she lost it having diphtheria as a child. I know we must have eaten those chickens but it was done very subtly, think we were told that 'Uncle Joe' had taken them to live on his farm!!! xxxx

I was told that one, about my dog, when he was missing one time when I came home for a visit, on my days off! My parents should have remembered what they told me, as later they made the mistake of mentioning in another conversation, that my uncle had taken him away and shot him. I never spoke to that particular uncle again, but I don't know if he realised that, or not ..... he died of a huge heart attack, before I forgave him! πŸ˜₯

So, the film we saw was called Free Guy, as I said, it looked like the best of a rubbish bunch. It didn't help that we had no sound to start with and everyone else just sat there!! I went and found someone to turn the sound on but of course, they put it on too loud but I just put up with it. The film was about 6/10, probably better enjoyed by someone who actually plays sci-fi video games, but it was funny in places and the effects were pretty spectacular. It had Ryan Reynolds and Jody Comer in it. The trailers of the films to come were tedious, all 'shoot 'em ups' of some genre or other so not sure we'll be going again for a while!!

Still, it was a treat to go out and have lunch and a 'show'!!! xxxx

It is good that you both enjoyed a lovely day out, with lunch; but it is a shame about the film choices; hopefully there will be a surprise showing of something more enjoyable ..... or just find a good film of the genre you both like, on Netflix, or another available platform; then go out for a nice meal afterwards (or before if that is a better option)! xoxoxo

Hello all, just a quickie to let you all know that Satan got transferred out of jail yesterday and is now serving the next 2 years in prison.
Being as he is Satan after all.. He had already had 3 different altercations WHILE in jail that landed him in the hospital. I can't help but hope, I mean think, that prison will be even worse for the little scum bag.
Here's to the next 2 years of less to worry about in the world.

Ange. what is the difference between prison and jail? I have always thought that they were the same!

If he keeps having altercations will he have his sentence extended? xx

One can always hope that would be the case! xoxoxo

Good morning all from a slightly sunny Norfolk. Boy did we have some rain yesterday, apparently the month's worth in a day, it was so hard at one time out satellite dish couldn't see through it and the TV went off. Looks a lot brighter today. Nothing planned again so will possibly finish of my shawl, then to think of something else to do. Have a good day and stay safe, it's still lurking out there. xx

Just saw a really good story about Covid, concerning a 94yo man who fortunately had already had his double vaccine. He had a fall in the Nursing Home that he lived in, and sadly spent quite a few hours on the floor, before he was found and subsequently sent off to hospital, for treatment and to recuperate. He was actually Covid free, but caught it while he was in hospital. On discharge two grand daughters took him to live with them, so that they could make sure that nothing else happened to him. They lived in a two storey house, and set their grandfather up, in the first level of the house, and they lived in the top level. They had set the house up, with all the necessary items, so that they could keep themselves safe, while they were tending to their new lodger. His quarantine time is almost finished, and I think they are going to ask him to stay with them, so that they can make sure he stays safe ...... he has said that the girls have done so well, that he doesn't want to return to the Nursing Home; and they will be quite happy to continue keeping an eye on him, for as long as it is possible for them to do so! It was wonderful to see a positive story, with Covid rampaging all over the place! xoxoxo

What is it with those windshield wipers? How many times do they have to be repaired, before they are repaired?

I don’t know but the guy that β€œfixed” them won’t return our phone call so after $700 to fix them were going to have to have somebody else fix them!

I like about every other film that Ryan Reynolds does. Have't seen Free Guy yet.
You're probably finding foreign films interesting because they are stories you haven't heard before. A lot of our current films seem to be rehashes of previous films.

They sure do, and they get very boring, very quickly! xoxo

My sister used to have ducks. She found a nest after her ex-husband shot the mother, and took the eggs home to raise them. The ducks lived in the coop with their chickens and swam in a plastic kiddy pool. She released them to a pond with a bunch of other ducks in the fall. The next spring they returned to that same pond and came when she called them.

We also had a kiddy pool for the ducks to swim in; but we had to rescue the occasional chicken, when they thought the ducks looked like they were having more fun! πŸ™„πŸ€£πŸ˜‚πŸ€£

We used to be vaccinated for TB and smallpox in school. Now, it is rare for the students to get vaccinated in school. Most schools no longer have a school nurse.

None of our childhood vaccinations were done at school, I don't know where they were done, but I hated having them, as I always ended up with tiny little cuts at the needle site, because I always used to jump when the needle went in! πŸ’‰πŸ˜£πŸ˜–πŸ˜§

There was a flock of Canada geese who lived downtown along the river. They raised many babies there. Lately the flock has been flying overhead between downtown and the farmer's fields to the east of us, trying to teach the babies to fly in a line. They spent Sunday night in the farmer field at the end of our subdivision and hunters wiped out the entire flock except for 2 birds. Those last 2 birds just flew off to the east to Cobourg where there are less people shooting at them.

That just shows how ignorant some people are, when it comes to other creatures which share this planet with us!

Sometimes I think that these "so called" hunters, should be put on the receiving end of a gun & bullet!
