Deer Studley Royal, UK.
Deer photographed at Studley Royal, Yorkshire, UK, a deer park that you may walk and hopefully see Deer (Red Deer). I was very lucky on 2 days and spotted a group of Stags on each day. They are used to humans and I did not do anything to frighten them and they were happy listening to a Nikon DSLR shooting single shot and up to 5fps.
The rut is about to happen usually Sept to Nov, when the stags fight for the females.
Large stag silhouetted
Group of stags in shadow under a tree
3 stags fighting
2 stags close fighting
3 large stags posing for me
Nice series. I photographed some of them in New Zealand a few years ago. They are beautiful animals.
Very nice work! Thanks for sharing.

Staggeringly beautiful shots of stags going stag 🌀💞💎💞🌀
Great shots. I've never seen a 3 way fight before
Nice shots. Wonder if their necks ever get tired with all that weight on their head?

Agree never seen a 3 way stag fight, at first just thought one was watching the other two fighting and then all three started fighting - quite gentle just testing each other.
Thank you for all your kind comments, this was the second attempt at photography in the Deer Park, I was about 70ft from them just wondered if they might charge me - luck was in they did not!
