Seems another date will soon arrive that changes the digital photography industry, changing how we think about mirrorless, how we think about photography, how we think about life...
What will be the reaction this time, while there's still time to read all about the mirrorless meteor on the photography sites, read about the sensors, the eye-tracking AF, the frames per second, the EVF? What would the DSLRinosaurs have done if they'd had all that lead-time to react?
The caterpillar thought it was the end of the world. But then, it was handed a Canon and became a butterfly.
Things that matter to some, not all.
With your spate of comments you have successfully created a Never Canon consumer. Given one, I'd sell it! I'd no more carry one than I'd wear a Rolex.

Contrast that with me, a Canon user since 1972.
No plans on changing either.
Besides, I enjoy his quips.

We are all different. Had a Canon Pellix back when they were hot. Could easily gone with Canon if I hadn't gotten a great deal on a comprehensive Nikon kit. No camera is life changing. The constant propaganda drumbeat is tiresome.

AMEN!
I just picked one and went with it.
I liked it and stayed. I have nothing against any other major brand.
As a matter of fact, my 15 year old bridge camera is a Sony!
To me, getting a camera is like getting a car. Personal choice!

You would not have anyway, no matter what anyone says.

Haha. I'm still using my 35+ year old Timex.
Keeps on ticking...

Agree on the Rolex. In past years, I had several of the little Powershots, good enough while they lasted. That was before I knew Canon was a cult.

I am one of them, Never Canon consumers. I would only touch it if it was the only brand left on our planet. My dislike of the brand was formed by the multi-millions of dollars Canon is spending on the brainwashing general population into thinking that Camera=Canon. Ask anyone on the street to name the camera brand and majority will say Canon. Go to camera store and tell them you want to buy a camera. Guess what brand they will talk you into buying? Money spent on the marketing bring the desired results. Is Canon better than the other brands? No, but they made sure that beginners think that all pros use Canon and you have to use it too to upgrade your status.
Sorry for a long rant and to all Canon users here - sorry, nothing personal.

I had a Canon 20D. It was big, heavy, and bulky. I sold it a bought a Nikon D90.
I’ve never looked back.

Other than the fact that few of us can afford one, what is your issue with Rolex?
