👍👍Captured very nicely. Fished it in 1987 with my son. We never saw this great vantage point. But it’s beautiful from the water because much/most of the shoreline is restricted public land very few houses and I believe only one marina toward one end. The experience was as tranquil as the picture. Thanks for the picture and memories.
Thanks for commenting and I'm glad you enjoyed this. The Hickory Nut Mountain Vista is not well known but it is a great place to view the lake. The road to it is 4 to 5 miles of Forest Service (gravel/dirt and dusty) road. I learned about it several years ago while geocaching. I was shooting hand-held so I planted my feet and twisted far left to start. After 10 shots I had twisted as far as I could to the right but still couldn't cover it all. My aged body is not as limber as it once was. I'm not a fisherman but once we camped on one of the lake islands back in the '50s and I caught the only fish I have ever caught there.
