This image, taken last Wednesday before Hurricane Sandy ripped thru Pennsylvania, was among the pix I captured on a 7-hour trek in the canyon at Ricketts Glen State Park.
It took that long to work my way safely down roughly 700 feet of elevation and then back up the other side to photograph all 21 named waterfalls.
After a 2 1/2 hour drive home, I just crashed on the couch... totally spent... no other way to describe it.
Tripod mounted 5Diii, 24-105L, ISO 100, Av, f22, 0.5 sec.

Well hope you had a good time. It's good to be safe. I had an 8' slide/fall while hiking down to photograph the other kind of falls. It could have been worse-- I saved my gear!

Most excellent shot, glad you lived to post it, did you use a ND filter, if so how many stops.

Thank you for your compliment, Bg. I don't know enough about ND filters yet to use them, but I asked several of the presenters about ND filters at the PhotoPlus EXPO at the Javits Center in NYC last Friday. ND filters are the next piece of the learning curve for me.
Last week was one of those over-the-top weeks in a photographic sense. Sadly, I suspect that some of the locals I met in Lower Manhattan last Friday are suffering mightily this week.

Hi Canonshot, yes I'm feeling for our neighbors to the north, sending prayers and contributing to the Red Cross. I am with you on the ND filter, so new at all this stuff, so much to learn so little time. Again, awesome shot of the waterfall.
