I would like a recommendation for 3rd party ink supplier where the ink won't clog (particularly black) when printer isn't used for several weeks at a time. Printer being used is a Canon TS9000 series. Thanks
don't do it stick with the factory ink I speak from experience.
I doubt there is such an ink. I switched to a laser printer several years ago for that very reason. I am more than happy with this type of printer even though it is B & W only. There are color lasers but I do not miss the lack of color. The laser printers are a lot cheaper to feed too!
I am not sure about photo use for prints though lasers are known for high quality prints. Maybe someone else can advise you on this.

I used ink from LD Products for years in my Canon printers, never had a problem, and I don't print very much at all. I don't think it's the ink at all, you could likely buy it from any reputable ink retailer and it should work fine. You have to be a little careful you don't spill ink everywhere. I now use an Epson ET-2750 and the ink is next to free, so not worth messing with.

Precision Color. As good as factory. Great company and utube videos for everything. Been using them for years. Many other hoggers use them also
I use Inkfarm.com for years in my Epson R1900. Infrequent printing - will sit for weeks at a time and no clogging. I believe secret is to keep the printer powered on.

I also use LD ink. Works fine in my Canon 8520 which is used infrequently (< once a week). No clogs. I don't know how they do it, but the printer thinks the LD cartridges are OEM. I leave the printer on - it goes to 'sleep' but periodically wakes up and does a cleaning cycle. That probably prevents clogging.
The 9000 series is particularly good regarding not plugging. Prior to getting mine I was an Epson guy for years and plugging was a significant problem. The supplier is not as significant as is the design of the heads. I confess neglect!
I regret not finding the reference to back up my assertion.

I mentioned I use an Epson EC 2750 and the ink is next to free. I didn't mention however that the dang thing clogs up often and you need to do a "deep" cleaning. The ink is $60 for 4 giant bottles that lasts me years, however the "deep" cleaning uses up a ton of ink, you can actually watch the ink levels go down while it performs it's "deep" cleaning.
I never had a problem with my Canon printers clogging, and I used only ink from LD. I agree it's not likely the ink, but the head design that causes the issues. My Eco printer sips ink until you need to do a deep cleaning, then it's a chug-a-lug contest. As for turning printers off, I never turned off my Canons, against all recommendations, no clogs. My Epson I did it both ways, and it clogged whether left on or off.
Precision Colors, InkOwl, and in the UK and Europe OctoInk. All excellent, all no more likely to clog than OEM ink. But you must use an inkjet printer reasonably frequently or risk a clog.

Precision Color for ink and Qimage software for printing images and scheduled (every 3-4 days) small color test patterns to keep the ink moving

I agree with BigDaddy. I have used LD Products for years with excellent results. Their customer service is excellent. Have a Canon MX452, Brother MFC-J4420Dw and another canon whos number I cannot remember.

I agree. OEM cartridges minimize ink clogging problems. Stick with them.
I've use cartridges from JARBO (bought on Amazon) for several years in HP and Canon printers w/o any negative issues (other than highly irritating messages from the printer that doom is impending because I'm not using "genuine" cartridges).
