A question about Godox versus Flashpoint customer service and product quality

It seems that Godox also makes units under the Flashpoint (Adorama) brand. My wife wants to get some lights, but heard that Flashpoint customer service was basically not existent. I was wondering if anyone has had experiences with Flashpoint or Godox customer service and how was their customer service experience.?. Also, is there any difference between Godox and Flashpoint product quality? TIA

Godox is the parent company Adorama re-brands the Godox equipment under Flashpoint. They are basically the same units. I have many Godox flashes and triggers and all work great on the Nikon cameras. I don't own any Canon or Sony, but would assume they work just as well.

Thank you. How is the Godox customer service?

I bought a Flashpoint AD600 from Adorama when Godox first made an appearance in this country ... at the time Godox had no support in the USA so if something broke you had to send it to China ... I asked Adorama about this and their attitude at the time, since they were not set up for repairs either, was that they would simply replace it ... Although I never had that in writing ... That was 3-4 years ago ... things may have changed since then ... I would suggest you call them ... Also there is another Company located in Wisconsin called MOLight ... they offer a 2 year warranty and free shipping ... and they repair all Godox products ... Speak to Larry the owner ... very nice guy ... Hope this helps ... 1-833-4MOLIGHT or 1-855-681-1112

FWIW I was told by a professional photographer who has used Godox and now uses Flashpoint, that Godox and Flashpoint products are identical in function and quality (not surprising, since both are made by Godox).
Godox customer support is non-existent.
Flashpoint customer service, provided by Adorama, is good and reliable.

Three periods are an ellipsis, although they are supposed to be used to designate something missing.

Perhaps I use the ellipsis incorrectly ... For me it feels like a natural pause between thoughts ... If it is grammatically incorrect, perhaps I can justify it as poetic licence ... I found this on Google ... 1: "a sudden leap from one topic to another 2: indicating an omission (as of words) or a pause." ...
My sincere and humble apologies to all the grammarians who may have taken offense ...

I am also . . guilty.

That was my experience when I needed service for my Godox flash. I never got a reply from Godox but Adorama helped me even when I did not buy their product. I am not in need of a flash but if I were I would surely buy Flashpoint from Adorama

I’ve heard the same thing. I have a Flashpoint A200 plus trigger and 2 Godoy trigger receivers. They work well together and no issues.

Additionally, Adorama (Flashpoint) may include items at no cost that Godox doesn't. When I bought a Flashpoint monolight they included a very nice free case.

You have it backwards. USA Godox service is virtually non-existent, but Flashpoint (Adorama's branded version of Godox) has superb 24/7 support and USA service. If you are buying in the USA ,you want to buy Flashpoint from Adorama absolutely without question.

In Canada, Godox' main distributor, StrobePro does offer superb support and service for Godox products.

FYI, I have a dozen units, all different sizes and powers for my different professional needs, and they are all Flashpoint except the one AD300Pro I bought from StrobePro in Canada.

Cheers
