I like the song, I like the music, and the singing is ok, however I would like to hear your voices better. You guys are to far away from your microphones, especially Bruce. Your voices are drowned out by the music. You do a good job of putting the video together. Just my opinion. Keep them coming!

Thanks Bill. I agree with you, I should have mixed the voices more prominently than the music. The instruments did drown out our voices. Thanks for watching and offering some good advice.

I did do that in the next one we did (When You Walk in the Room), for my vocal track. My friend Bruce didn't give me a separate vocal track on this one so I was stuck with his vocal volume. I couldn't increase his vocal volume without increasing his guitar volume as well. Here it is. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pMz22tpiu1k

That was a little better, but to me your voices are still being drowned out by the music. Sorry!

Yes, I agree. Will have to boost vocals better in post. I should probably look at the meters to do it scientifically rather than just by ear. Thanks again.

Thanks Bill. I agree with you, I should have mixed... (show quote)

Hi,
not a professional, but my two cents:
1) Bruce is out of focus - a bit of a distraction
2) I agree with Bill about the vocals/guitars - ideally record vocals on a separate track than the guitar

good video otherwise.

Thanks Stephen. I hadn't noticed it but you are right, Bruce's part is not as in focus as mine. I'm working on another one now and will post it when it's done.

The way we do these is Bruce and I create our own parts of the video and whoever goes first will send their video to the other by dropbox. When both parts are done, I edit them together. We're just amateurs in all respects.

Bob,
I’m a YouTube/video amateur as well. Every week, I learn something new which makes the entire hobby worthwhile. I think it’s great that you can merge two videos into one cohesive musical piece!

I agree, there's so much to learn. In fact my video hobby has taken priority over my photography hobby. Thanks to your and Bill's comments I'm presently researching how to mix songs, using youtube instruction videos.

I am the same. Used to be a devoted photographer, but started dabbling in video 3-4 years ago and since then, I’ve found myself more interested in video than photos. Looking forward to your next video!

Thanks again. My friend is vacationing in Maine, so waiting for him to return and add his part to mine. Have you thought of adding one of your youtube links here?

Wow. You are a great videographer and editor. Did you also do the Naperville channel videos?
Hope you are on the mend. I was surprised to see we share the same health issues. It's 5-1/2 years for me. The new normal. It's a small world.
