our brutal freeze here in Houston area last 15-18 Feb killed most of our outside plants…I had put 11 plumerias in the garage, my biggest was in the ground and I said it had to fend for itself…it didnt make it....anyway I walked about the yard this morning…and 8 out of the eleven are in bloom…and they smell nice

They don't like to be frozen, but other than that you can beat the hell out of them and they will survive! A branch breaks off - stick it in the ground, it will grow.

Agree..I have grown many from broken branches or branches I just cut off...have given many to friends and family.... also last year we decided to grow some from seed....this year one of the babies have flowers coming .... at one time probably had 25 or 30 plants...gave away most of the babies to daughters and our son. we stopped creating more.

I have seen plumerias in Hawaii that were at least 25 feet tall and about as wide

Gorgeous! We had some at our house in Florida and they grew over the edge of the roof! Very fragrant, but ours would begin to get a fungus each Fall and the leaves would fall off, so that, by November, the shrubs were merely sticks until the next spring.

Beautiful flowers and beautiful photographs. Too bad the frost got to many of them.

Great set of images
You can tent the plants with plastic sheeting and cover them with hay or straw to protect them for short periods.
There is a guy that has Palm trees growing Here in St.Louis county Missouri , he tents them every winter, they have been growing for many years!!
