This guy came to visit and stayed for the entire summer. The problem is that he brought his friends and family. Now I have a squirrel problem.

Since he was so thoughtless and brought his family, you can cure the situation with a few well aimed .22
projectiles. Good hunting!

There are many natural ways of dealing with squirrels. This link is just one source: https://www.almanac.com/pest/squirrels

Very nice photo.

Do you think this could be a Ground Squirrel rather than a tree squirrel? The fur sure looks to be a ground squirrel.
Are they digging pretty good sized holes in or near your garden? Ground squirrels are a serious problem this year in southern Oregon. Much worse than earlier years.

Yes, I have noticed that on the 13 acres we have in Merlin. Can that be the changing climate?

I have loads of them visiting every day and they haven't destroyed anything except chewing a hole in a plastic can containing bird food.

only $600? I had tree squirrels come into my attic! They tore it up! I had to clean up all kinds of debris! I also had raccoons in my basement! That cost about $5000 but my insurance paid. They had to replace my a/c ductwork, insulation. It was a mess! Good luck. I also had gophers! They were a pain. I was able to get rid of them. That was a mess too!I live in Oregon also.

Used to marinate them. Then to the grill! Very tasty.
