The jazz tune, "Jumpin with Symphony Sid", named after Sid Torin, was one of most famous jazz "DJ's" of the 50's. Sid did a live broadcast from Jersey City, NJ. It was a rare night when I did not tune into a Symphony Sid broadcast. I played this tune hundreds of times. What great memories for me.

I know that is a great memory to have, listening to the hot radio DJs in the 1950's. I grew up in the city (Philadelphia) and on hot summer nights my friend's Mom would sit out on the stoop with the radio playing, mostly big band. It is a memory that I still cherish. I love this set that you posted, Mark. It was a battle of the top jazz saxophonists of the day; loved it.
