Here are some newer crossbreeds I had not heard about:
Pointer X Setter = Poinsetter, a traditional Christmas pet
Kerry Blue Terrier X Skye Terrier = Blue Skye, a dog for visionaries
Skye Terrier x Jack Russell Terrier = Skyjacker, a breed prohibited on airplanes
Great Pyrenees X Dachshund = Pyradachs, a puzzling breed
Pekingnese X Lhasa Apso = Peekasso, an abstract dog
Irish Water Spaniel X English Springer Spaniel = Irish Springer, a dog fresh and clean as a whistle
Labrador Retriever X Curly Coated Retriever = Lab Coat Retriever, the choice of research scientists
Newfoundland X Basset Hound = Newfound Asset Hound, a dog for financial advisors
Terrier X Bulldog = Terribull, a dog that makes awful mistakes
Bloodhound X Labrador = Blabador, a dog that barks incessantly
Malamute X Pointer = Moot Point, owned by....oh, well, it doesn't matter anyway
Collie X Malamute = Commute, a dog that travels to work
Deerhound X Terrier = Derriere, a dog that's true to the end
Cocker Spaniel X Rottweiler = Cockrot, the perfect puppy for that philandering ex-husband
Bull Terrier X Shih Tzu = Bullshitz, a gregarious but unreliable breed
Bedlington Terrier X Shih Tzu = Bedsheets, a real cuddler
Coton de Tulear X Bull Terrier = Cotton Bull, for those looking for a soft and gentle companion
German Shorthaired Pointer X chocolate Lab = German chocolate, a real sweetheart

My stepdaughter got a Pomsky, a cross between a Pomeranian and a Husky. Given the sizes of those species it's hard to imagine such a cross occurring naturally, and I suspect the Husky is always the female parent.
It's really a nice dog. Smaller than a Husky by a bit (maybe 3/4 size) and a great disposition. Served as the flower dog for her wedding.

I've heard of those. Wow, that's a gorgeous dog!!! It's nice to hear about their disposition.

Wow, this one's a beauty too!! Is he/she yours? I always wonder how the different styles of grooming came into being. Do you know the reason for keeping the hair under his chin longer?
