First shots with the Zorki

My interest in film photography has led me to the wonderful world of vintage lenses and cameras. Here are the first shots from a recently acquired Zorki 4k with a Jupiter 8 lens attached. The split image range finder was a bit tough to negotiate; but I think I got a few shots that are not bad.

Ilford FP4+
Kodak D-76
Epson 800 scanner

Good work, Erich! Those old cameras can still perform!

Thanks. It was shot in bright sunlight and it has some pretty harsh contrast to it; but I like that one as well. I think the third shot could use a bit more contrast. If I were printing this image in a darkroom, I think that is what I would be aiming for. Thanks for taking a look.

I like all three a lot. I think my favorite is the first one though. It has a very artistic feel.

I like how that first one came out. I had a bit of a hard time working the rangefinder; but that frame worked out pretty well.
Thanks for taking a look.

It is a fun camera to work with. I would not want it to be my daily shooter; but it is a fun camera to use occasionally.
