I never knew that dragonflies would eat a wasp until I came across this!
This is a great shot Thomas. Well done. Yes they will eat most anything they can catch even things much larger than themselves. I just got back from a dragonfly survey in Florida and got pictures of Pondhawks eating dragon and damselflies. I also have a picture of a Dragonhunter that has a hummingbird on the ground by the neck. Beautiful but vicious.

Well sir a Dragonhunter
(Hagenius brevistylus) is a large dragonfly that is very aggressive. They will attack and eat most anything that they can catch. They are called dragonhunters because one of their prey sources is large darners. Below is a dragonhunter I shot surveying dragonflies in central Florida last week.

Yummmmmy.
They will eat almost anything they can catch. But, I only recently learned that dragonflys are food for swifts and other 'bug hunters'.
