I went up the Big Cottonwood Canyon last week to check on the status of wildflowers (it will be a while). At the top of the canyon is Brighton Ski Resort and a US Forest Service area - Silver Lake. Silver Lake sits at 8760 feet and is fed by melting snow. There is a one-mile path around the lake with a sedge meadow around the lake.
This set is shots of the lake starting about 6:30 AM as I walked around it.

You are a very early riser Mike, and partially still in the snow zones - I couldn't do that anymore! Like your shots, particularly with the reflections and details in the dark foreground.
