Do any of the Z cameras offer focus bracketing for stacking like the D850 does. I did a quick scan of Nikon’s website and did not find an answer.

Has anyone used the Z mount teleconverter 2.0. Nikon says there is no loss of image quality. I assume it does cut down on light. Also, does anyone make extension tubes for Z cameras. I do not use the ZTF converter.

If you are talking about "Focus Shifting" my Z6 has it, so the others must.

I don't see it on my Z50.

Although some would like it there is no ZTF converter. There are various FTZs.

Thank you, Bill! It’s a feature I really like. Apparently the Z50 doesn’t have it!

Thank you. That something I wouldn’t want to lose if I end up moving to FF Zs.

Either way, I don’t want to use one although I might consider it if I get a FF Z camera. I have a couple of F lenses I wouldn’t want to have to replace. I just want to use native Z lenses for the most part.

If you are happy with manual focus you can get $15 FTZs that you can leave on the lens. Or buy used from KEH or MPB for half Nikon’s price.

Focus peaking makes manual focus accurate and easy.

Yes, Z6 and Z7, both versions, have focus stacking. Z mount 2x teleconverter can be used only on Z 70-200 f2.8. There are various extension tubes available for Z mount. Check the Amazon website.

I’ve used the focus shift on the Z7 and it’s great. Haven’t tried a Z mount TC. I’ve thought about using the 1.4 with the 200-500 but I really just keep that lens on my D500 without the TC. As for extension tubes, there are several out there in Z mount. I’ve only used them with manual focus lenses, but if they’re decent, full function tubes they should work with focus shift.

Yes to focus shift shooting. The FTZ adaptor works as advertised (I have 3). I have not used my tubes but I can't see why they wouldn't work. I won't use a teleconverter.

Hello,
With the 2x Z teleconverter you will loose 2 steps of light.
As RightOnPhotograaphy said, today it only works with the Z 70-200 2.8.
Regards,
Miquel

The reason there is no ZTF converter is that Z cameras have a shorter flange to sensor distance and is is impossible to have an adaptor of negative thickness. If there were it would probably wreck the mirror.

MEIKE MK-Z-AF1 makes an 18mm and 11mm extension tube, they contain all the electronics and work well.
