I am trying to get a online photo gallery going.
The one I am trying rants about how easy it is to use but I find that not to be the case in my case.

It may just be that it isn't my forte but WIX, although very pretty seems more than I want to handle.

Purpose of gallery is to share photos with friends and family and customers.

Why not just post here? They can look at the photos posted, and if you check store original, easily download.

Lots of set up photo sites that you join and post, including Flickr, SmugMug, here, etc. Most allow you to create folders, password requirements, etc. Most allow a certain amount of free posts and then charge for more. It gives one a backup in case your computer etc are stolen? Much easier than creating your own?

Looks OK. 2GB storage limit or 20GB if you have registered a Nikon product. Wouldn't rely on it long term. Canon offered a similar service till they scrapped it last Janurary.

I have been using it for 3 years and so far have not heard any scuttlebutt of closure.

Users of Canon's Irista cloud storage service didn't hear anything about it closing until they did. Canon possibly even made some money from it by charging for extra storage. There are no free lunches and camera manufacturers are having a hard time. If Canon didn't think the service was viable I don't see why Nikon would think much differently.

Flickr is free for 1000 images and faces the public. You can place images into albums and send your friends / family a link to that album. Always consider free first. Facebook is free too, probably everyone you know is on FB and you can organize into albums.

Google Photos is also free up to some limit (not sure how many GBs).

Links to individual albums can be shared.
