I read that also. Very interesting. I think that as a medium format standard, Hassy is being squeezed out by the new Fuji cameras, which also have much better styling.

Yes I agree- I believe that the market is being squeezed a whole lot these days...

As a former Hasselblad film owner, yes I'd love to own a digital Hasselblad but, at the expense of $50,000 or slightly less, that is just way too rich for my blood.

With the current advancement of the so called image enhancement options out there, which allows individuals to upsize your digital object as much as 4 to 6 times larger, what's the point?

I can shoot with my Canon EOS R5, or the Canon EOS 5dsr, at a much, much lower cost and if I really want it, use Adobe to enhance the image.

Yes, glass quality is important. As for me, I will continue to buy more of the are series cameras and then migrate from the EF style lenses over into the RF series lenses. Bodies first, and then the lenses.

As for me, that is a much more economical approach and yes others have their own opinions and - that's okay. If you have lots of money, God love you ~~~ continue to do what tickles your fancy.

There ARE people who would opt for the EXPENSIVE toys but that doesn’t mean they’ve got the “eye”! For the cost of the Hasselblad you could take some very expensive photography courses AND buy some really good glass! It’s like buying a Lamborghini without a driver’s license.

You remind me of a "time passed" when my wife and I were on a very long cruise that went through the Panama Canal.. Some "Jerk" got in front of my wife, and made some snarky remark that "he had a Hasselblad" and wanted a "better shot" so he walked in front of her, as she is shooting, and began taking his own shots towards and off the front of the bow of the ship out towards the canal locks... sad

You know as well as I do, you can just tell by the 'posture, and used handling techniques' that this guy was a 'first class' novice... and just some bum-head with an expensive camera who though he knew it all...

As for us... YES, we have been shooting for over 50 years... so ~~ you just say to yourself... "Self - OK, he a Jerk" and just let him be... ultimately they will move... ha ha ha ... It happens all the time, and all over the world for sure..

Point made... LOL

The Hasselblad mirrorless camera can be had for far less than $50,000. I've seen used mirrorless for about $3000.

Yes, I did know that.

I only Hasselblad 500c back in the 70s and the lenses back then or made by Carl Zeiss.
