If you can see the photos in the camera's rear screen then there's a good chance they are intact. From memory, the D7200 can copy photos from one card to the other. So if the card in slot 2 is empty you can copy all or selected photos from the card in slot 1 (assuming that's where the photos in question are stored) to the card in slot 2. You will find the copy facility under the PLAYBACK MENU - Copy image(s). Check your Nikon users manual for the precise details on what to do.

Thank you very much. The camera can no longer see the photos on the rear screen.

I had this happen once. I hit delete which is next to import. Like you said it goes away quickly. Luckily I had a CF card as a backup

Aha. I think you solved the problem. Thank you very much.

Take some pictures with another card.
Transfer as usual. If the same thing happens there’s something wrong with the dongle. If not, it was the card that went bad. (All things being equal.)

Thank you very much. I’ll do that.

I’m not a Nikon user, but doesn’t your camera support Bluetooth? Makes transferring photos a lot easier.

Thank you for the suggestion.

When I inset the adapter, D7200 comes up on the iPad under photos. I don’t know how it does it, I just know it does.

Are you importing to Apple/mac photos or using another software like LR?

Failed SD card. I’ve now set up the camera to copy a duplicate of each shot on both of the SD cards. Nice to have that option.

I had the same problem with two readers. I went to the Apple store and found that the problem was neither with the readers or the SD cards. Actually, Apple changed the software for the readers. When you plug it in, the name of the card or camera will appear. Click on the name of the card or camera under utilities, and it should work.

I have the software update. When I plugged the reader in, the name of my camera came up as it usually does. When I selected the pictures and pressed transfer, the pictures disappeared. Thanks anyway for taking the time to help. I appreciate it.
