How good are Topaz Lab software products?

I recently looked at several reviews of Topaz DeNoise Ai & Sharpen Ai & Gigapixel Ai. I have heard some positive comments about this software, but I have never used it. I usually do OK with removing noise & sharpening through Lightroom & Photoshop. For what it is worth, I find Lightroom sharpening very poor for anything other than basic sharpening. Compared to Photoshop, it is like using an axe instead of a scalpel, very crude.
Anyway, I am interested in opinions about these products.
The Gigapixel Ai seems like it might be useful for shots where I need to crop just a little too much, because I could not get close enough. In checking prices, it seems that if you use some discount codes the cost of these 3 products is about $127. Is that a good price?
I shoot with a Nikon D750 and often do BIF & mostly outdoor nature stuff. Thanks everyone in advance.

I have all three and Sharpen and DeNoise plug into Photoshop. I am pleased with all three programs. I recommend them, but you do need some computing power.

I, too, have all three and like them a lot. I use Sharpen Ai on most photos. It takes care of a reasonable amount of noise as well as sharpening. I use DeNoise when sharpen does not take care of noise to my satisfaction. I only got Gigapixel recently and have not used it much. My primary use will be to improve extreme crops.

I use these as plugins to Affinity Photo. A decent computer is necessary to achieve acceptable speeds but I have not experienced any problem with speed. I would definitely recommend Topaz products.

All can be tried as trials AFAIK. They are really good, esp sharpen.

I own both Denoise and Sharpen. I use Sharpen on many of my photos, and am very pleased. I agree to the performance comments. I use Elements 2021. But I run these independent to speed up the tasks.

I have and find very useful all three, but they do require a reasonably capable processor and memory to run at reasonable speed; not a gaming computer but not basic either.

I use DeNoise as part of my regular work flow and Sharpen as necessary. Don't take anyone's word for it. Down the free full function 30 day trials and find out for your self.

I have all three of the AI bundle.. just bought Gigapixel at a special "loyalty" discount [$50 price], then got an additional 15% off which was from one of the reviewers. Prior to this I was using the highly rated Photozoom $20 from Ashampoo that sells "last years software." Smart use of $... not sure, but perhaps-probably.

I have never understood the practicality of monthly ransom software from Adobe when the money is better spent for us lazy people who like results with simplicity of presets and sliders. [Why buy a Corvette fully loaded to drive to the corner store?]

For the cost of Adobe Ransom one can buy, as asked in this post Topaz AI plugins which work well in PSElements , or Paintshop-Pro, or Topaz Studio,... etc. ... even use effective freeware such as Gimp. Why use PS and LR, which I liken to a rusty Swiss Army Knife software, that claims to be best at every thing better than any other edit tool. Make life in photo post processing easy use plugin and basic edit-ware. AI is a new era and not an error.

My experience has been that Topaz, if there is a way of getting one of their programs better they will. They continue to work on a program and update it free.

----------------
JoeXX, search for a review/tutorial and find a 15% discount. And also search for the best price for the bundle. Without question download trials and watch Tutorials and see if it works for you personally.

Cwilson341, yes Affinity is a great competitor to PS... Created in from modern programing language while Adobe builds on the old.

Those who have PSE, remember to add Elements Plus for $12 which opens many PS doors hidden in PSE.

In my experience, most negative comments about these AI programs stem from long processing time caused by inadequate graphics cards and graphics memory. The Topaz site has their recommended good-better-best computer memory configurations. I love these products, but I had to upgrade my computer to achieve satisfactory run times.

I would not do any post processing without Topaz. Yes, it is that good.

Good stuff if you know when to use it and have enough computer to handle it.

"How good is Topaz software" seems to be asked about once a week. There is an abundance of discussion about Topaz on UHH that you can find by searching.
My opinion is that Topaz DeNoise, Sharpen and Gigapixel definitely have value.
But the best judge for your needs is you.
Fortunately you can try each software free for 30 days. Go for it.
