Newbie in the hosting world.

Parts and Pieces that make up the entire scene or story.

What to do: Pick one subject to shoot, and capture it in different angles, distances, colors, and light. For example, photograph the view from your window at different times of day and on different days. You might also choose an object and shoot it from up high or down low, far away or up close, or in color and black and white.

danersmiff"s post on page 16 in the "Weeds" challenge is another great example of this idea.

My first set is one of my CMT (Culturally Modified Tree) trees that I have on my property.
The kink in this tree was probably done with a ligature over many years/generations. Very similar to the Bonsai Trees, only on a large scale.
My neighbor calls this tree the "talking tree", because it looks like the mouth is moving when the wind blows

Thanks for playing along
Ellen

A few years back we had a very wet fall. I came across these beautiful orange fungi.

These are pictures of the same tree at various times. Each shot from my open front door. Tree is gone as a storm knocked it down.

Thanks for the interesting challenge Ellen.
My offering shows 3 sunsets from Garry Point in Richmond, BC. Shot a year apart with the last one being influenced by the severe wildfire smoke we had in this area from our own record forest fire season and from the devastating wildfires in California at the same time. At one point, Vancouver BC had the poorest air quality of any city in the world.

Very nice start, Ellen. Thanks for taking on a host position and challenging us with a different take on things. I was looking forward as to what you meant by "Parts and Pieces". I'll have to get back on this one now that I know.

Nice set. Love the color of the first picture
Sad that it's no longer there.

Beautiful shots. We here in Colorado will get the smoke from the CA wild fires too.
Thanks for sharing these pictures
