Long conversation with Canon service a couple of days ago, during which I asked how the new M1 was doing re: Pro-xx/Prograf-xx printers. Rep said something like: "Work great with WiFi". And with USB? "Much better with WiFi".

Since I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on buying a new M1 to replace my aging Mini, does anyone have any experience to relate, especially with pro-style printers? Canon, Epson, HP - any brand? All-in-One office units?

I recently purchased a MacBook Air to replace/augment my aging 27" iMac (late 2011, and I just replaced the HDD with one I had laying about with great success!) I print to an Epson Stylus Photo R2400 (also aging but a goodie). I use a docking adapter from B&H to connect the MacBook to the Epson printer via USB.

This adapter also has 2 camera card readers, 2 USB2 and 2 USB3 ports, and a HDMI Video port.

As for the printing experience, it is same as from the iMac. but a bit quicker, to be expected with newer faster computer.
Cheers!
