It was a time beyond one's wildest imagination. Google "Dust Bowl" and search the images and you will see walls of dust bearing down on towns. Homes and farms buried in dust so deep that roofs are barely visible.
I was a combination of weather events and improper farming practices that caused such vast devastation as well as happening during a time of great depression. One must learn from history or be destined to repeat it.
Amazing time period. Many lives destroyed not just by the agricultural and meteorological conditions but also by the treatment the “Okies” received as they sought relief.
