I couldn't stand it so I called and talked with B&H Camera one more time and they are going to sell my my order for the original price! I'm one happy customer. This is why I always deal with B&H Camera because in the end I am always a satisfied customer.

That's awesome! Kudos to B&H. They certainly didn't have to.

Most short term price drops are supplier authorized to exact dates, carved in stone. But for a near miss like yours the solution is to dig deeper than usual into their system to pretend they weren’t down for sabbath. Quite doable but extra work. Some vendors wouldn’t do that extra work. They are not B&H ;-)

I also used a Payboo card and saved paying taxes. Yes I will pay it off as soon as it shows billed.

I rented the Z6II for two weeks not long ago. I liked the camera a lot and want to purchase one soon. I'm waiting to take a look at the 24-105mm Z-mount lens that is coming out.

The 24-70mm f4 will serve me well. This lens covers just about everything I need until I jump to my longer lenses. I just couldn't justify the price difference between the F4 and the F2.8. I got the F4 in a kit and saved a lot of money and would have had to pay the full price for the F2.8, big difference.

I used the 24-70mm f/4 at a studio photo shoot with the Z6II I rented. It produced excellent and sharp photos. The only thing was, at times, I could have used a longer focal length than 70mm. That was in a studio setting. I figured, a zoom that goes to 105mm would be just right for the studio shots. Another photographer there had the 24-70mm f/2.8 on his Z6. It's an impressive lens but heavier than the f/4 version.

Good for you Grandpaw!
I'm not really surprised at the good outcome.
