Once again, I was bored. This is the DJI Mini. To give one an idea of its' actual size, look at the photos of the backside. The slot on the lower right of the body is holding a mini SD card.

See the slot at the lower right?

The camera is only 12 MPX and only shoots Jpeg, but it does a good job.

I have the DJI Mini too.
Got the flymore package.
This is a really good quadcopter.
I have also had one of their Phantom models too.

Does it make much noise. Would it scare birds away?

That’s a neat little machine Tom. Good set.

Thanks for your post. How would your rate the drone for videos? Have you tried to fly it over water? Can it detect power lines? Have you tried to take stills at 50'? Heard from a friend the auto light settings are a joke; he uses manual setting.

Yeah, I bought the whole package also. I am glad I did. I had to learn that one needs to fold the blades properly when putting it back in its' case. The one thing that pissed me off though, is that about a month and a half after I bought it, DJI came out with the Mavic Mini ll. I already shot my wad with this one.

I wonder about that also. It is much quieter than my other drones. I do know from experience that some birds will attack them.

I don't remember if I told you, but I use it for work. It is a great time saver because of the distance I would ordinarily would have to walk and take pictures.

I know these are not as good as some eagle pics we've seen here, but these will do for now. Lol. Thanks for looking, Jack.

I have been thinking about one for work also. What I cannot get an answer to is, can it take an image directly below it? IE: if I needed to inspect a roof of a trailer or motor home could it take a direct overhead view shot of say a roof seam, or a broken vent?

Oh, yeah, no problem. The camera can go a full 90 degrees from horizontal, down to total vertical. There is a wheel on the left, front of the controller for that function. Besides for work, I also use it to check my gutters for leaves and clutter.

This drone is also very stable in high winds. I took a video (my model shoots video in 2k, the newer version shoots in 4k) looking straight down at a car from above a tree. You can see the leaves and branches swaying violently while the drone is rock steady. It was pretty cool.

Here is an example of a photo I took looking straight down at the deck of my house during a snow storm with high wind no less!
