My father was a welder who worked on the road welding on a pipeline full of oil. Several welders had burned alive down in a ditch when they burned through the metal of the pipeline. My mother taught me and my older brother to say a prayer before bed asking for Tex to make it back home safely.

What a beautiful memory.
Dear CindyHouk...Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. You must be very beautiful.
Wonderful memories. Welders live dangerously. I know, I spent over 30 years as a welder.
It is easy to pick out welders in heaven….their wings are singed around the edges.
Without welders this world would have very little stick-to-it-iveness.
