After attending the opening of a photo show my granddaughter and I entered, she, my wife, and I went out to eat. That’s the first time we’ve been to a restaurant in over a year--it felt good eating out again.

We didn’t win any awards, but all our photos were accepted and hung in the exhibit. That was good enough for me.

Sounds like you had good day.
Something we all need.
My wife and I are planning to eat out at our favorite Italian restaurant soon.
Like you, we haven't eaten at a restaurant since this covid virus started.

We did a lot of takeout last year but were able to eat out occasionally by Fall. We tried to patronize our favorite restaurants one way or another since eat-in was limited to 50% occupancy or less. So far our favorite restaurants have survived.

I used to enter online photo contests. The highest award I ever got was in a contest titled "Your worst photo ever". A subject in which I have high proficiency.

Sounds like a successful day John, kudos for the show and you are definitely one step ahead of us when it comes to restaurants, the last one we were in was in early Feb 2020 in Reykjavik - we are certainly looking forward to put an end to that lag!

Since being vaccinated, I have been eating in restaurants and seeing movies in theaters, although both are still limited capacity. But I don't think of it a something new, I think of it as something old, and I look forward to more "old" things. I hope I will be able to attend a drag race in late July in Sonoma, which was cancelled last year.
