Just sayin’.

You cheated! You read ALL the words.

Two right angles summed together =180 degrees. Therefore the straight line =two right angles

In fuzzy logic, would it be maybe?

A straight line = 0 degrees.
A straight line is the graphical representation of the minimum distance between two points.

The answer involves math beyond the ability of a seven year old to understand.

Yes, technically there are two right angles in the figure, but they are made by the instantaneous tangent at the intersections, developed from an infinitesimal delta there, i.e., calculus.

This question is inappropriate for even most high school students.

This guy gets it!

I believe that there are 4 right angles in the image, the frame is there for a reason, it forms part of the image.

In that respect, some of the letters have right angles in them also.......
(And there are eight in the frame, four blue and four white.)

That's exactly how I saw it. You draw a tanget at right angles to the radius, so there has to be one at each end of the straight line. That should not be beyond high school students.
Crap at maths but I do remember a few things so feel free to put me right if I'm wrong.

It's a ha!f circle, a circle is 360 degrees, a half circle is 180 degrees or 2 right angles.

It’s a good question, not a bad one.

Since there are no right angles with a curve, the answer is obviously false.

It is also pretty safe to assume that the subject has already been discussed in class. It’s basic math about shapes and figures, no philosophy involved whatsoever. Is it too tough for a seven-year-old to comprehend? Absolutely not. Firing the teacher is akin to further dumbing down education.

Totally agree with that, John! (I taught mathematics in NJ for 38 years)

Since right angles are formed by the 90° meeting of two straight lines there are no right angles in this form. It is one straight line intersecting two points of a curved line. No matter how much it looks like two right angles on each end it is not that half circle is curved all the way around.

And I suck at math.

I agree. If you continued the half circle to make a full circle, you would clearly see that there is no right angle. I'm not a genius at math either.
