I've been watching "How the Earth was Made." It was done by the History channel, and it's on YouTube. Last night I learned that the west side of Loch Ness has rock identical to the rock where I live - Catskill Mountains, of NY. Scotland used to be joined to North America, and it separated 60 million years ago.

Here is how I believe the Earth was made:
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night.

That's a good outline. Scientists and Geologists are filling in the details.

Be patient.

I wonder how they know the names of those previous worlds - Gondwanaland, Pangea, etc. Were they carved into rocks?

And good ol' Rochester was around the equator. However when I lived there it had (ahem) "slightly" worked it's way north and the white sands became, uh, snow.
