Looks like a keeper! will the VR work on the Helicon tube? Great captures and renderings. Good to see yo still have bees. Please stay safe and keep on sharing.

Thanks. I don't know if it will or not. Maybe someone can answer that for both of us.

If anybody had any doubts about that lens, this should dispel them all!

Beautiful work Jack!!!

Thanks Bill, I've been using a a really sharp 60mm Micro Nikkor that won't work on the Helicon Tube. The extra 30mm is really nice, I shot about 50 bee shots today and didn't get stung once

Thanks Mike. The 90 mm focal length gives me some extra working room and I'm going to change my technique a bit. Never too old to learn or you can't teach old dogs new tricks, I'll see which one applies to me

Thanks Chief, there is so much to learn. Suddenly DOF becomes the most important factor--I think.

My new (used) Tamron SP 90mm f2.8 Macro VC lens. Of course I just had to try it out while waiting for my Helicon Tube to arrive.

The Tamron 90 mm f2.8 is a great macro lens. It does exceedingly well as a portrait lens also.
