I've followed Joel Sartore on Instagram for years and have purchased his NG Photo Ark book. This is a short video about his venture into the insect world.

I bought his National Geographic course on DVD. It was wonderful. Has anyone else taken the course?

Enjoyed the video thanks for the link.

Had just purchased 3 of Joel's National Geographic Photo Basics: The Ultimate Beginner's Guide to Great Photography for grandchildren earlier this AM, Amazon has a deal buy 2 get 1, it may only be for prime members.

The focus of my photography has shifted over the past year. I have tried to capture the world I inhabit daily in an album I call "Pandemic Series."

The second album focuses on the nature area near my house--my only time out of the house. I have photographed this area for 30 years, but images from the past year have been much more introspective.

Nice work - I get out to local parks and preserves and stay away from others who are there.

I have some of his Nat Geo photo DVDs, something about his presentation style just "bugs" me.😜😜😜

Challenge, lets see if we can drive anyone to drink with "insect" themed comments.

I have several of his Nat. Geo. videos that I use for training in our camera club. He does a great job.

Thanks for the link, Elliott. Insects are among my favorite subjects to photograph. I get several of my subjects at night with a sheet over the fence and a large light shining on it. I tried the insect net however I often got wasps and other stingers that made it too exciting for me for they would get caught in there and I couldn't get them out.
