I put a 1.4 converter on my 500 Sigma lens.
It wouldn't autofocus, so I had to manual focus.
I was lucky that I was able to get this one in focus, it was hard to keep this little guy in the viewfinder, let alone focus. No cropping on this one.

Thank you, but not close. I put the camera on a tripod with a pistol grip. That way I could focus and track this guy.
Couldn't get many shots off because it was a bit slower than hand-holding. I got lucky here. In several shots, he was out or partway out of the frame, or not even in focus.
