Victoria, British Columbia, Canada in 2007 – The Butchart Gardens

Although blacks2 has made 6 sets of this beautiful garden, and others have also posted, I visited it in 2007 and thought I’d give it a try. Although I’ll give a few shots of the wide view, I’m going to concentrate on photos of individual details. (Note: in 2007 I wasn’t doing much PP, so I know improvements are possible.)

A very nice set. Have been there several times and have been amazed at the wonderful flowers and their settings with the Garden. One of the very best in the world. Mahalo for sharing.

Hello, alliebess (are you Allie or Bess?) -- I don't believe I've seen you before, thanks for coming! Thank you -- I'm pleased you liked it.

Mike, always nice to hear from you. Your approval means a lot, thanks. I know that most photographers use a macro lens for shots of flowers, but I don't have one, so just make do with my 18-200 zoom -- I think it works pretty well.

JoAnne, thanks for your very nice comments. You're welcome, I like to share.

Sylvias, so nice to see you! Thank you very much. I do hope you manage to visit the Gardens.

Joe, I posted more than 10 in that set (a no-no) but I had many more that I would have liked to post. The opportunities are overwhelming. Thanks for your nice compliment.

Yes, it is. I didn't come close to doing it justice.
