I was at school yesterday (physics with high school freshmen), introducing them to motion in two dimensions. We were talking about how motion really requires at least two dimensions to be interesting (like throwing a baseball or shooting a gun), rather than in one dimension (like falling off a bridge). The discussion somehow got around to one dimensional people (it was Friday, OK?). I'll not carry the discussion any further here, but will leave to your own imagination where it went and how it might be pertinent to this thread.

Should I stick with brand name lenses (Nikon, Sony, Canon, etc) or could a third partly lens produce results just as good?
